The Painting and Sculpture Conservation Studio in the Sukiennice is the oldest conservation studio in the National Museum in Krakow. It is located by the Gallery of 19th Century Polish Art and performs preventative conservation and full conservation of Polish paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries. It also carries out conservation of polychromed and gilded wooden sculptures and other wood-based items from earlier periods.
An example of the studio's work is its conservation of five Japanese masks from the collection donated to the National Museum by Feliks Manggha Jasieński, the only collection of its kind in Poland.
